Yamaha has silently discontinued the FZS-FI V3 in India, with the model no longer listed on the brand's official website. The bike was priced at Rs 1,04,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Here's all you need to know.

The FZS-FI V3 was powered by a 149cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine making 12.4 PS and 13.3 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It featured a telescopic fork, a monoshock and rode on 17-inch wheels with single channel ABS. It had a basic negative LCD console which was cluttered and difficult to read under direct sunlight.
With the FZS-FI V3 discontinued, Yamaha's FZ lineup has become less cluttered. Buyers who prefer the older styling can still opt for the FZ-FI V3, which is now the most affordable motorcycle in the FZ lineup at Rs 1,14,760 (ex-showroom). However, it comes with a basic negative LCD instrument console and also lacks features such as a gear position indicator and Bluetooth connectivity.
For Rs 1,19,846 (ex-showroom), buyers can get the FZS-FI V4, which offers significantly better value-for-money. It gets a larger LCD instrument console with Yamaha’s Y-Connect app enabling Bluetooth connectivity, call and SMS alerts and ride statistics. The bike also features a more modern design with a redesigned LED headlamp, LED DRLs and a sleeker LED tail lamp. Additionally, it comes equipped with traction control and a gear position indicator, making it a more feature-rich package overall.

It's a bike for long drive. Safety when it's comes to safety it's easy to handle and control. I have ride till now around 1500 Km. For me the mileage is around 47 to 50 kmpl. If you are safe riders then it will give you good mileage. Very comfortable in riding. Sitting is also very comfortable. I am very glad after purchasing this bike. Bike is a 2022 model and is very comfortable driving within the city and also it has good torque and height clearance is also good, has bulit in bluetooth which adds a extra layer safety from theft. I chose Yamaha FZ due to the bike body style and of course for the Yamaha brand. The Bike comes with good mileage and riding on this bike is also comfortable. Exhaust sound is good and one thing about this bike which is different from other 150 cc bikes is the mileage and maintenance which is cost effective. Overall the ride is positive as the seats are comfortable within city ride. The long ride becomes difficult for the person who is seating on the back due to the seat density. Bike pickup is very poor, this is the biggest cons. If you are looking for a bike which gives you sporty look with great mileage then YES, Yamaha FZ V3 is the ultimate choice. But I would also recommend to check for other brands as well such as Honda and TVS.Read More
