Honda Activa 110: Explained In Images

Decent mileage, familiar looks, unbeatable reliability - what else do you want?

Buying a Honda Activa is almost always a decision that doesn’t involve a lot of research because it just works. After all, it is the best-selling scooter in India. That said, it is still good to know certain key aspects before you put down your hard-earned money. Find out more in detailed images:

Styling

The Activa 110 keeps its familiar, rounded scooter silhouette, with a clean apron with chrome garnish and a chromed-out logo on the side panels that adds a bit of shine without looking loud. Lighting is where the variants actually look different from each other: the STD gets a halogen headlamp, while the DLX and H-Smart step up to an LED headlamp with an LED DRL.

Details:

  • Honda hasn’t really tweaked the design all that much because its target audience likes the scooter’s familiar looks.

  • The metal bodywork gives it a feeling of sturdiness, and the overall build quality is decent

Colours

You get this scooter in six shades: Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Precious White, Decent Blue Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue. Thankfully, all the shades are standard across all three variants. That's one thing you don't have to think about when choosing a variant.

Comfort & Practicality

The Activa is designed to make city commutes easy, so the single-piece seat is soft, and the handlebar is easy to reach. There’s a decent amount of legroom as well. The 18-litre decent, but not segment-leading.

Details:

  • Since the seat is soft, heavier riders will tend to ‘sink’ in when commutes are longer than an hour or so. This might cause some discomfort.

  • The seat is roomy enough for the rider and pillion. However, it could have been longer so that it’s easier to accommodate two people with backpacks.

  • The charging port is on the apron (optional only in the base variant, standard across the rest).

  • It’s located next to an open cubbyhole, so if you’re placing your phone inside, you’ll have to be careful as riding on bad roads will tend to toss the phone over.

  • External fuel filler is also on offer, so refuelling doesn't need the seat opened

  • You get a 5.3-litre fuel tank capacity, which is quite decent

Engine And Performance

The Activa gets a 109.51cc air-cooled engine, making 7.8PS and 9.05 Nm, linked to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).

Details:

  • The engine is refined and is tuned to offer good mileage.

  • In fact, we were able to get 59.5kmpl in the city and 55.9kmpl out on the highway - fantastic numbers for a 110cc scooter.

  • The engine isn’t lethargic as such, but it isn’t peppy either, so you’ll have to plan your overtakes.

  • It’s comfortable at around 70kmph, and after that it starts to feel stressed.

  • You also get an idling stop system that shuts the engine off automatically when the scooter is stationary; this one is standard across all variants, and can be switched off too.

Safety And Underpinnings

The Activa 110 runs a telescopic fork, a single rear shock absorber, 12-inch alloy wheel at the front and 10-inch at the rear - both with 90-section tubeless tyres.

Details:

  • The suspension is tuned to be soft, to help it easily go over potholes and speed breakers. But it tends to be a bit bouncy with heavier riders.

  • The scooter’s 106kg kerb weight means it’s fairly easy to change directions in the city. It feels reasonably stable on the highway too.

  • The drum brake’s performance is fine, but a front disc would’ve made it much better, especially when it comes to emergency stops.

The Honda Activa 110 ticks all the boxes if you want a no-nonsense 110cc scooter for daily commutes and grocery runs. The base STD variant (Rs 76,083) will suffice for most, but if you’re keen on having a more premium console with turn-by-turn navigation, then the Smart variant is the one to go for, which retails at Rs 91,082. The mid-variant (DLX), priced at Rs 86,360, isn’t something we’d recommend as it does not get connectivity. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi

Honda Activa bike review

Honda Activa bike is perfect for men and women as well, comfortable seating, good mileage, better choice for within city premises and in traffic roads also. It has strong body and can carry weights and comfortable for fat and height people. Soo good, we enjoy every ride on our activa, as we are taller, this suits best for us, it gives 15 mileage and I ride it in 50 to 60 kmph for my safety. It has wide seating so it's comfortable and safe for ladies and kids when in double ride. Yes, we strongly recommend this Activa bike for its smooth running and good mileage, best in city premises, we have to be in controllable speed in highways. It's a standard bike .It better for all kinds of people especially who are tall and fat can go for this Activa as it has wide seating.Read More
