The scooter is more powerful than the TVS Jupiter BS6

The TVS Scooty Zest 110 BS6 is Rs 6,810 dearer than the BS4-compliant version. Like its predecessor, the scooter is available in two variants: Matte Series and Himalayan High Series Notable features include a 19-litre underseat storage, LED DRL and tail lamp, dual hooks and apron-mounted storage.

TVS has launched the Scooty Zest 110 BS6 in the country at a starting price of Rs 58,460 (ex-showroom Chennai). This makes it Rs 6,810 more expensive than the Matte Series variant of the BS4-compliant Scooty Zest 110. Like the previous-generation scooter, this one too comes in both Matte Series and Himalayan High Series, with six colour options in total. More details about the pricing will be updated as soon as we hear from TVS.

The biggest update is the fuel-injected 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This motor produces 7.81PS and 8.8Nm, making it more powerful and torquey than the TVS Jupiter BS6. Here’s a detailed comparison:

More details regarding the specifications are awaited. The rest of the mechanicals like the telescopic front fork, single rear shock absorber, and 10-inch steel wheels with 90-section tubeless tyres on both ends remain unchanged. The brakes are also the same 110mm front and 130mm rear.

While the BS4-compliant TVS Scooty Zest 110 was one of the lightest scooters in the segment, at 97kg kerb, it remains to be seen whether the BS6 iteration will carry the mantle forward. We have reached out to the brand regarding the specifications and will update the story as soon as we get our hands on them. All in all, the Rs 6,810 premium seems reasonable considering it gets a fuel-injected motor. It may not be as powerful as its predecessor but it makes up for it with a slight increase in torque. It goes up against the Honda Activa 6G and Hero Pleasure Plus.
