For a multi-cylinder Honda, it is pretty decently priced

Honda has kickstarted its 2024 journey with the launch of the NX500 Adventure motorcycle at Rs 5,90,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Interestingly, it is significantly more affordable than the initial launch price of the Honda CB500X, which has now been discontinued.

Technically, the NX500 is based on the Honda CB500X, but with some changes in the hardware and a few cosmetic upgrades. It is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 47.5PS and 43Nm.

It rolls on 19-inch alloy at the front and a 17-inch alloy wheel in the rear, so don’t expect it to be a hardcore offroad machine. However, it can take light trails and be a pretty competent highway tourer. Oh, and the NX500 is suspended on a Showa 41mm inverted fork and preload-adjustable monoshock suspension setup.

In terms of features, it will come with a TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and music control. It also comes equipped with traction control and assist and a slipper clutch.

In India, the Honda NX500 is the most affordable multi-cylinder adventure motorcycle from the Japanese bikemaker. That said, it is more affordable than what we had though, and is pretty decently priced considering Honda’s India pricing strategy. It rivals the likes of the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Benelli TRK 502.
