Bajaj Auto takes action against copiers

A campaign has been started by Bajaj Auto to prevent piracy of company's spare parts. Recently, the company, with the help of police, arrested a few persons from Balaram street, Mumbai. As per reports, the police has arrested 4 shop owners from the same area.

Due to great success of Bajaj vehicles including Bajaj Pulsar, Bajaj Discover, Bajaj Platina, Bajaj Avenger and Kawasaki Ninja-  in India several incidents of producing and selling Bajaj Auto parts have been reported from a few places in the country.



The arrested shop owners were reportedly involved in selling fake Bajaj Auto spare parts packed in non-genuine packing. Apart from that, the seller were not offering any warranty with the products as against the policy of Bajaj Auto.

The original spare parts of Bajaj can be identify through the new security label and security features at the Bajaj Auto part's packing.



The company has filed FIR under Trademark Act against these arrested shop owners. Around 4000 pieces of copied parts, accounts up to Rs 3 lakh cost, were captured from the spot. The company has made same kind of raids in Pune as well; Bajaj Auto has been conducting raids in different cities in India and more actions will be initiated to save the brand name of Bajaj.
