Aprilia SXR GT 125 hp.e: More Power, Bigger Wheels
The Aprilia SXRGT 125 hp-e is offered in three colours: Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White. It is powered by a 124.45 cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that makes 10.6 PS and 10.4 Nm. That’s fairly more powerful than the Burgman Street.
It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels and gets a 220 mm front disc and a 140 mm rear drum. It also has a telescopic front fork and all-LED lighting, a windscreen and a 5-inch LCD console. However, the display has no connected features, and braking is limited to a combined braking system (CBS). Aprilia should definitely have offered connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation. Aprilia hasn’t mentioned the details of the underseat storage, but expect it to be reasonably usable.
Suzuki Burgman Street: More Variants, More Features
The Suzuki Burgman Street uses a 124 cc, air-cooled engine with a CVT gearbox. It makes 8.42 PS and 10.2 Nm in the regular variants, and the EX variant makes 8.6PS and 10Nm.The base Ride Connect Edition gets an LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. The top Ride Connect TFT Edition adds a 4.2-inch TFT display and keyless ignition.
Practicality is a strong point as it gets 24.6 litres of underseat storage, a front glovebox, a USB charging port and an external fuel lid. Note that the EX variant’s underseat storage is slightly smaller, at 21.5 litres. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends for the EX variant, and 12-inch front and 10-inch rear combination for the regular variants. At 775 mm, the seat height is accessible, and the 160 mm of ground clearance is decent too. Braking is also CBS only, with a front disc and a rear drum.
BikeDekho Says
The choice comes down to what matters more to you. The Aprilia SXR GT 125 hp-e is a good choice if you like Italian styling, a performance-oriented engine, and are willing to live with no connectivity. If you’re looking for a more well-rounded maxi-scooter with lots of features and good practicality, then the Burgman Street makes more sense, especially the base variant as it has all the necessary features and offers great value for money.
