BMW F 450 RR Expert Overview
Overview
BMW has teased its upcoming supersport, the BMW F 450 RR, ahead of its official unveiling on October 15, 2026. The motorcycle will be the most affordable twin-cylinder sports bike from the brand. It will be based on the other 450 siblings, the F 450 GS and the F 450 R. The India launch is expected in mid-2027.
Design
The silhouette of the teased motorcycle makes it clear that it takes its inspiration from the flagship BMW S 1000 RR. It gets a muscular fuel tank, sleek winglets, beefy fairing, and five-spoke alloy wheels, adding to its aggressive, sporty appearance.
Features
The supersport is expected to carry all the features seen on the recently unveiled F 450 R. We can expect the same 6.5-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity, SMS/call alerts and navigation. Along with ride-by-wire throttle, which enables features such as ride modes, traction control and more.
Engine
The bike will be powered by the same 420 cc parallel-twin engine, which is featured on its naked sibling, the BMW F 450 R. The motor produces 48 PS and 43 Nm and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Expect the tuning to be different to suit the sporty character of this bike.
Expected Launch Timeline & Rivals
The BMW F 450 RR will be unveiled on October 15, 2026, with its India launch likely to follow later. In the sub-450cc segment, it will rival the Aprilia RS 457. With an expected price of around Rs 4.75 lakh (ex-showroom), the BMW will be a premium option over its Italian rival.
