The Okinawa Ridge is the most affordable high-speed scooter from Okinawa, being considerably less expensive than the scooter just above it, the Okinawa PraisePro.
The Ridge is now priced at Rs 69,783 for the base variant. If you go for the GPS variant though, it’ll cost you Rs 76,285 (both prices ex-showroom). You can also book the scooters for Rs 2,000, which will then obviously be deducted from the actual price of the scooter.
You get a youthful design on the Okinawa Ridge, with a Honda Dio-like apron-mounted headlamp and the indicators are mounted on the handlebar cowl. The three-spoke 10-inch alloys get a dual-tone finish for a more premium appeal. It gets a telescopic fork along with dual shocks at the rear, while the front and rear drum brakes come with Electronic Assisted Braking System (E-ABS) with regenerative energy. The instrument cluster found on the Ridge is a digital one
The scooter is powered by an 800 Watt brushless DC motor that propels it to a claimed top speed of 55kmph. Its 1. 74kWh Lithium-ion battery can be charged between two to three hours and is good for a range of about 84km. Bits like a low 735mm seat height, 160mm of ground clearance, 150kg loading capacity and a 30,000km (or three years) motor warranty add to the scooter’s practicality. Its battery is also eligible for a warranty of three years. That said, its boot only gets a relatively puny 17-litres of storage space. Other notable features include central locking with anti-theft alarm, keyless entry, and Find My Scooter function. The Okinawa Ridge is available in a total of three colours: Ash Grey, Cloud Silver and Magic Blue.
