India Yamaha Motors, the fast growing two-wheeler company in Indian market, has reported 27.6 per cent sales growth in the month of January, 2011. The company gets strong starting in the 2011 and its Yamaha SZ begged most of the Automobile Awards in India. In the month of January 2011, it sold out 28,597 units of two wheelers as compared to 22,408 units in January 2010.
India Yamaha is selling two-wheeler in the Domestic and overseas market and doing well in the both markets. The company has sold out 21,974 units in January 2011 as compared to 17,598 units in the month of January 2010. On the other hand, 6,623 units of the two-wheelers has been exported in January 2011 as compared to 4,810 bikes in January 2010.
Yamaha has all segment bikes in India such as entry-level Yamaha Crux 106cc to Yamaha VMAX 1679cc. After launching Yamaha SZ and Yamaha YBR 125 commuter bikes in India, the company is getting overwhelming response from market. At present, it has three variants of the bike like Yamaha SZ, Yamaha SZ R and Yamaha SZ X. To pump the Yamaha bikes the company is coming with Yamaha Safety Riding Science (YSRS), Yamaha R15 race etc programs. Already Yamaha SZ R, Yamaha SZ-X and Yamaha YBR 125 got lots of awards of best bike in the year of 2010-2011.
Right now India Yamaha has 2 manufacturing facilities in India such as Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh and Faridabad in Haryana, here the company is producing bikes for domestic and export markets. And more than 2,000 employees are working in the company while its dealer network is over 400 dealers across India.
