Yamaha has launched two new colours for the YZF R15 in Malaysia: matte black and Yamaha’s racing blue livery. Both colour schemes are pretty similar to the ones we have here in India. The matte black colour, for instance, looks identical except for the glossy tank, use of graphics, and the absence of rim tapes.
Same goes for the racing blue, which is a slightly lighter shade and features a matte grey coloured front fender and rear quarter panels, and side fairings finished in blue. The India-spec model, on the other hand, gets a blue and black paint scheme.
No other changes have been made apart from the addition of these new colours. The one aspect we really miss is the gold-painted USD forks that are available on the Malaysia-spec model. But, as everyone probably knows by now, it doesn’t make much of a difference when it comes down to handling. The R15 available in India handles like a dream.
The Yamaha R15 V3 sold in Malaysia makes a bit more power and torque compared to its Indian counterpart. It develops 19.2PS and 14.7Nm, as opposed to 18.6PS and 14.1Nm here in India. The power difference is down to the strict BS6 emission norms.

This bike is meant for our age group especially for age group between 18 to 25 years. Going for long drive on this bike will feel like participating in bike race as pick is so good and balance is also very good. Pick up of this bike is very good and you will not feel tired after having long drives. And balance of this bike is very phenomenal and due to which chances of skidding is very less even on slippery roads. Its a stylish bike. Very good looking and powerful with a muscular body and heavy duty. I love the bike since beginning, my dream bike and very solid bike. Better in every aspect in mileage, great in looks and performance. The only bike in the segment which provides you punchy power and aggressive position it may have some cons still who are above 5.5 height can ride this rocket comfortable. Personally I love riding sports bike and this is seriously a legendary one in the segment also from 200cc segment. I reached upto 153 of speed on a highway which is so much within a 155cc segment. End of the day its very sexy for enthusiasts who prioritise power over features. So good i mean its powerful but not that torquey its so light weight and too much powerful no braking issues for me personally and mileage i got is around 42 to 45 in city and around 50 on highways too good for college students but you get back pains and spine problems not suitable for long rides good for flicking in traffic.
