Yamaha EC-06: Similar Price Alternatives
From a retro bike with the iconic thump to a very capable ADV, the list is quite varied
Yamaha recently launched the EC-06 in India. It is the first electric two-wheeler from the brand to be launched in India, and is priced at Rs 1,67,600 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). It is based on the River Indie, and has a few important differentiating elements. However, if you find the EC-06 to be a bit too costly for what it offers, then worry not! The Yamaha R15 is one of the best entry-level sportbikes in India. It has exceptionally good handling, a rev-happy engine, returns decent mileage, and even has a lot of modern features. For a similar price to the Yamaha EC-06, you can also get the KTM 160 Duke TFT variant. It is fun-to-ride, lightweight, agile, and comes in some really funky colour schemes – perfect for someone with a flashy taste.

If you want a motorcycle that looks nostalgic and retro, then you can take a look at the Royal Enfield Hunter 350’s top-end variant. It comes in premium-looking dual-tone colour schemes, and also gets a bunch of modern features. It is also the lightest Royal Enfield bike and is built on the same J-series platform as the Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
