Weird Flex: This Ducati Scrambler Lookalike Has A 150cc Heart

Not only does it have a smaller heart, but the 14-inch wheels make it a smaller bike too

Not only does it have a smaller heart, but the 14-inch wheels make it a smaller bike too

With the exception of a few, Chinese motorcycle manufacturers aren’t known for originality. However, their attempts are sometimes laudable. The bikemaker that we brought to you today is Jialing. While we showed you a  Yamaha Aerox lookalike previously, this time the company has made a motorcycle that’s ‘inspired’ from the Ducati Scrambler Icon. Case in point, the CoCo Pony 150F.

Right from the round headlight to the tail lamp, everything is in some way reminiscent of the Scrambler, with the biggest giveaway being the fuel tank. The Pony 150F not only has the same shape and color as the Ducati, but the tank even has a ripped-off Ducati Scrambler logo.

Jialing also went the extra mile to throw in a round LCD instrument cluster placing it in an offset position just like the one seen on the Scrambler. This copy-paste job is present in the single-piece seat, the tail section and the handlebar too. The dual exhausts on the Pony 150F are inspired by the Scrambler 1100 instead of the 800.

That said, if you think this you can fool people into believing you’re riding a Ducati, you’re wrong. The 14-inch alloys are an instant giveaway. That, along with the fact that at the heart of the Pony 150F is a puny 150cc engine will reveal the fact that this is a much smaller motorcycle . Underpinnings on the bike include an inverted fork and monoshock. The bike gets a dual-channel ABS.

The Pony 150F is likely to be limited to China and will definitely not be coming to India. So if you’re looking to get yourself a smaller-capacity scrambler-style motorcycle, you could have a look at the Royal Enfield Scram 411, Yezdi Scrambler and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
