KTM RC 390’s arch rival makes a comeback today at 8pm
(UPDATE: Kawasaki has launched the Ninja 400 in India, head here to read the launch story.)
Kawasaki’s sub-400cc supersport is all set to make a comeback today, and it’s really good to have the Ninja 400 back on sale in India once again. We had to say goodbye to this parallel-twin screamer back in 2019 as it failed to meet the BS6 emission norms, but with the BS6-compliant version now here, the Japanese merchant of speed is all set to take the fight to the KTM RC 390 once again.
Kawasaki recently launched the Euro-5 compliant Ninja 400, Z400 overseas. Hence, it was only a matter of time until we got it too. Today at 8pm, the 2022 model will be officially welcomed back.
Mechanically, the 2022 motorcycle is identical to its predecessor and the same 399cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder mill also gets carried forward. However the BS6 transition makes it cleaner now and that has come at the cost of a slight drop in power.
We are expecting Kawasaki to price the new BS6-compliant Ninja 400 at Rs 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), Yes, that is a premium of Rs 26,000 over its predecessor, making this already premium offering even more expensive. The Ninja 400 will rival the KTM RC 390, which has also recently been given a generational update, but it will also see competition from alternatives like the TVS Apache RR 310 and the upcoming BMW G 310 RR.

I have heard people say that this bike has an unjustifiable price tag but as someone who has ridden this beast every time you cross 8000 rpm, it will put a smile on your face like nothing else, even daily riding is bliss the utmost comfortable riding posture on this segment period the mileage is lovely it will give you about 330 km city riding and 350-360 on the highway. The final thing I would say is if you can afford it close your eyes and buy it.Read More
The best premium bike with decent mileage, power, and track control bike. The price is a little bit high.
This is a very good-looking bike with a very sharp design and is awesome to look at. I love the exhaust sound of the bike and people sometimes get scared of it. The after-sales services are good by the company.Read More
