The newly launched motorcycle comes painted in multiple colour schemes

TVS has finally launched the Ronin, the Hosur-based bikemaker’s latest addition to its motorcycle portfolio. Interestingly, the Ronin does not fall under any particular segment of bikes. The “unscripted” bike is available in three different variants and a myriad of colour schemes. What are they? We explain according to the variants.
SS Variant

The Ronin SS is the base variant of the motorcycle and gets two colour schemes, namely Lightning Black and Magma Red. Both are monotone schemes and flaunt a shiny gloss finish, which accentuates the red and black colours well. The KYB USD fork on the SS variant gets a black finish, instead of the gold finish on the other variants. Adding to the simple appeal of the bike are the matte grey finished fender-mounting bracket, muffler guard, end cap and headlight rim.

The SS variant misses out on Bluetooth connectivity and dual-channel ABS and is priced at Rs 1,49,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Click here to find out everything that the three variants get and miss out on in our variants explained story.

DS Variant

The DS variant, too, comes painted in two colour schemes, called Stargaze Black and Delta Blue. Both the schemes, however, are dual-tone and get coloured stripes on the alloy wheels and the tank.

Adding to the sporty appeal are the golden-finished USD fork and a silver headlight rim along with the muffler guard and end cap finished in stainless steel. The DS variant flaunts a price tag of Rs 1,56,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).
TD Variant

The top-of-the-line TD variant of the Ronin flaunts a triple-tone colour scheme with decals and a bright, gold-finished USD. The TD variant is available in Galactic Grey and Dawn Orange colour schemes, which look properly sporty.
The muffler guard on the TD variant comes in a matte black colour as well as the fender mounting bracket. However, the muffler end cap sports a shiny stainless steel finish, giving the bike a vibrant contrast.

The TD Variant flaunts a lot more features and dual-channel ABS and is priced at Rs 1,68,750 (ex-showroom Delhi). Click here for our TVS Ronin features explained story.
Our pick: Galactic Grey

The Galactic Grey not only looks classy but also sporty with the triple-tone colours, matte black hardware and more. And the fact that it comes on the TD variant with dual-channel ABS and connectivity features only sweetens the deal.

- TVS Ronin: Style Meets StruggleLooks comfortable for daily commute of 140- 150 km. TVS Ronin offers 225 cc engine with good mileage of 40 kmpl, stunning looks which makes the heads turn, royal and comfy feel without compromising on city ride quality and oil cooling for better engine efficiency. Ride is smooth, punchy, confident and feels agile, makes you confident while riding but struggles in corners because of TVS tyres which lacks grip, comfort and art of cornering. The whole setup looks balanced for the price hence can't complain for that. Yes, I would recommend this bike if you are a person who can spend more on cost of ownership, the service center work is little bad, if you can tackle them thats on you because I have been doing the same, just to put your point, you have to complain otherwise they do not take you seriously specially the centers in small cities like Dewas, MP.Read More4

- Daily commute ke liye mast bikeTVS Ronin ka look dusri bikes se kaafi alag laga. Mujhe daily office aana-jana hota hai aur kabhi-kabhi long ride bhi karta hu, isliye comfort aur styling dono chahiye the. Test ride ke baad bike ka smooth engine aur riding posture pasand aaya. Ab tak ride ka experience acha raha hai. City traffic me handle karna easy hai aur highway par bhi stable feel hoti hai. Seat comfortable hai, isliye long ride me zyada thakan nahi hoti. Mileage thoda aur better ho sakta tha, lekin overall performance se khush hu. Agar aap apna experience comfortable or behtar karna chahte hai to tvs Ronin le sakte hai. Yadi mileage dekhenge to or dusra option dekh sakte hai. City traffic me bhi handle karna asan hi hai, mujhe jyada pareshani nahi hui.Read More2
