TVS NTorq 125 BS6: Pros, Cons & Should You Buy?

Here’s what works in favour and against the updated sporty scooter from TVS
The TVS NTorq 125 has been one of our favourites and for good reason. This sporty TVS scooter is one of the best two-wheelers to have rolled out of Hosur. It brings out the hooligan from a gentleman but without compromising on its scootering sensibilities. The BS6 updated scooter maintains the same engine outputs but is now fuel injected, gets a slightly larger fuel tank and is 1.9kg heavier. Plus, this Race Edition gets new fancy bits. So what are the merits and demerits of buying the NTorq now?

PROS:
Phenomenal fuel efficiency
TVS has worked wonders in this department as the mileage figure of the BS6 NTorq sees a massive improvement. Thanks to the inclusion of fuel injection, the fueling is precise and volumetric combustibility has improved. Thus, it delivers efficiency numbers that are on par with the class leader: the Suzuki Access 125.
Engine is sporty yet refined
Engine refinement levels on the NTorq have improved. No longer do you feel a slight buzz at the bars or on the floorboard at city speeds. Refinement levels are comparable to the Access 125 or the Activa 125 but there is still enough youthfulness to keep you engaged.
Race Edition looks smashing
The NTorq 125 is the only TVS scooter to arrive with the TVS Racing badge of honour. The Race Edition celebrates the racing spirit of the company with an enticing dual-tone livery. Bits like the 3D logo, chequered flag graphics and the carbon fibre-esque seat cover add to the racy vibe.
CONS
It is slower!
Sounds shocking, doesn’t it? But it is true: The TVS NTorq 125 BS6 is almost 1.6 seconds slower in the 0-60kmph acceleration run. Part of the reason for this deficit has to do with the weight gain of our tester during this period but that still isn’t enough to justify the deficit.
LED headlight isn’t the best
On the Race Edition, TVS has switched the halogen headlight for a LED unit. While it looks cool, the LEDs are simply not as impressive as the conventional ones. The low-beam intensity is focused on a small area and the high beam doesn’t light up much of the road far ahead.
Updates come at a steep price
With respect to its corresponding BS4 trims, the BS6 trims are roughly Rs 10,000 dearer. And for that there isn’t anything new being offered to make the price premium sound reasonable.
Should You Buy It?
If you are not willing to compromise on performance, then it might be better to search the internet for deals on BS4 NTorqs. It isn’t that the BS6 NTorq is not youthful, but it is definitely missing a bit of zing. But if that isn’t too much of a bother, there is nothing better in the market that is as sporty and practical as the NTorq 125.
TVS NTORQ 125 User Reviews
I chose this bike because it offers smooth highway performance, great mileage, friendly, comfort and stylish looks, despite having slightly stiff suspension for city rides and its very easy to drive. Comfort handling, the seats are well cushioned for long trips and the suspension handles bumps smoothly steering is light in the city and plants firmly at high speed and it's very good and its safety is really nice. This is bike is very powerful and strong and mileage is really good, it's very smooth to drive, perfect and excellent suspension, and this bike quality is awesome, Its safety is really great., i would recommend to everyone.Read More
Sporty and stylish looking scooter. The scooter provides comfort for long distance travels. The quick acceleration is also a key factor. Best scooter in this price range with 125cc and disc brake and bluetooth feature. Positives include the price mainly, then there are the looks, about how sporty it looks. Having bluetooth at the price range is a steal. usually, base models scooters in this price range doesn't offer disc brake, they are usually drum brakes which is not the case here. Yes, I would absolutely love to recommend this scooter with anybody. The bluetooth disc brakes and price range will be the main reason for it. Also, TVS provides great service. These are the reasons for my recommendation.Read More

Purchased the scooty in feb 2026 and so far have driven nearly 3500 kms. The scooty is awesome to ride, easy to handle, and easy to maintain. One can expect mileage of 40-41 kmpl in city. Seat and suspension is on a stiffer side but one can get aftermarket foam seats to make the rides comfortable. Awesome ride for daily commute.Read More
