TVS Jupiter Grande Discontinued

The TVS Jupiter ZX disc and drum variant has been updated with a couple of premium features borrowed from the Grande

• The Jupiter ZX now features a couple of cosmetic and mechanical features from the Grande.
• The ZX disc variant is now priced at Rs 58,645, while the drum costs Rs 56,093 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
• The now discontinued Grande was priced at Rs 59,648 for the disc and Rs 55,936 for the drum variant.

The limited period run of the TVS Jupiter Grande has finally come to an end and the scooter has now been discontinued. However, a couple of features from the Grande have been carried over to the current ZX disc and drum variants. While the ZX disc costs Rs 1000 less than the Grande’s disc variant, the ZX drum costs Rs 150 more than the respective Grande. The TVS Jupiter ‘ZX’ disc variant is priced at Rs 58,645, while the drum version retails for Rs 56,093 (ex-showroom Delhi). 

To begin with, the Jupiter ZX now gets an LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument console and an adjustable rear shock absorber. Additionally, the scooter gets chrome elements on its rear-view mirrors for a premium touch. That said, there are a couple of components that the Jupiter ZX still misses out on compared to the Jupiter Grande.

Powering the Jupiter ZX is the same 109.7cc, BS4-compliant engine which generates 7.99PS at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 8Nm at 5,500rpm. A single 220mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake paired with SBT (Synchronised Braking Technology) take care of braking duties. Its 12-inch wheels come wrapped in 90/90-sections tyres at both ends. In terms of competition, the TVS Jupiter ZX goes up against the Honda Activa 5G, Yamaha Fascino and the Hero Maestro Edge.
