The flat tracker was inspired from a Moose, hence the “Moose” project

The ‘Moose’ project started like any other bike or custom motorcycle - on a blank canvas. As the name suggests, the bike was inspired by a Moose. Several iterations later, Zeus customs finally had the idea right. To convert the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 into a flat tracker that’s equally good on-road and looks the part, every piece and body panel has been thought through.

The custom shop emphasises details. To begin with, the frame of the bike needed to have curved lines mimicking the curvature of the twin exhaust pipes. The tail section of the bike has been entirely rebuilt, from the seat cowl to the single shock absorber. As for the front suspension, it’s been dropped by an inch to give the bike the stance of a flat tracker.

Then come the wide handlebars finished in black that stick out like a pair of antlers with minimal switches to keep it clean. The turn signal light has been installed at the far end of the handlebar.

The dome-shaped headlight has been replaced with a curved mask that represents the Moose’s mouth. Hence, the two-layer design with a dime light in between -- a unique little touch, but an impractical one.

Turn your attention to the mid-section and you’d notice the fuel cap has been moved to the right-hand side of the fuel tank, which adorns the Royal Enfield logo. The tank flows beautifully into the seat with its custom touch. The Chocolate colour leather seat is hand-stitched and features a ribbed design with the brand’s logo embroidered onto it.

Another big change is the paint finish on the engine. Parts of the engine are finished in black with custom exhausts branching out from either end of the parallel-twin engine. The silver pipes get brass tips -- a signature feature from Zeus customs.

The modified rear subframes fuse to form the LED tail light while the tail section looks like a race bike. The air filter, on the other hand, has been replaced with a spittoon filter, which sits out in the open, adding to the bike’s appearance. You’d also notice modification made to the now modern swingarm. It runs Dunlop dual-purpose tyres, which are equally good on the road and dirt.

To finish things off, the body panels were painted in a pearl white paint scheme overlayed with dark grey.
