SYM Joymax Z 300 Maxi-Scooter: Image Gallery

We bring you detailed images for a complete lowdown on what the scooter has to offer

We bring you detailed images for a complete lowdown on what the scooter has to offer

The near production-ready SYM Joymax Z 300 maxi-scooter was recently spotted testing in Pune. Interestingly enough, it was doing speeds of over 120kmph which points at the possibility of it being a 300cc model, rather than the smaller 125cc or 250cc version. We say this because all of them look identical.

The Joymax Z 300 is a proper maxi-scooter with an imposing front-end and a bulbous design.

The front gets an integrated headlamp and with conventional bulb turn indicators.

The rear sports an LED tail light and clear lens turn indicators.

Its tall, adjustable windscreen should offer a good amount of wind protection, irrespective of the rider's height.

Sure, the instrumentation looks a bit dated, but the twin-pod analogue console with a digital inset is legible with various readings including coolant temperature, fuel gauge, clock and odometer.

The well-cushioned, contoured seat looks comfortable and should accommodate larger proportioned riders well.

It gets plenty of underseat storage as well, enough to accommodate two full-face helmets.

You also get additional storage bins in the front apron for your knick-knacks and even a USB charging port to charge your phone on the go.

The SYM Joymax Z 300 is powered by a 278.3cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 27.3PS at 8,000rpm and 27.3Nm at 6,750rpm. The engine works alongside a CVT transmission.

Suspension bits include a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers.

The scooter is anchored by a 260mm front and a 240mm rear petal disc brake and dual-channel ABS which comes in as standard.

The SYM Joymax Z 300 is expected to cater to the premium scooter segment in India, which is currently occupied by the Honda Forza 350. We believe SYM may introduce the Joymax Z 300 in India by mid-2021 with a possible price of around Rs 3 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
