Royal Enfield Himalayan Spotted With Tripper Navigation System

RE has already employed this navigation system on the Meteor 350

The upcoming 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan was recently spotted with an additional gauge on the instrument console, suggesting the inclusion of the ‘Tripper Navigation’ system for turn-by-turn navigation via a smartphone application. Apart from this, it seems to have got no other mechanical or electronic updates, which is a bit disappointing as we were expecting significant changes, primarily a drop in weight. Looking at the mule, it seems like this update will be limited to the new navigation system and possibly, a few new colour options.

The RE Himalayan is powered by a BS6-compliant 411cc motor that makes 24.83PS of power and 32Nm of torque. It’s mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties on the Royal Enfield Himalayan are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike is anchored by a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the back. Switchable dual-channel ABS comes standard. Also Read: Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser Spotted With Accessories

The current-gen Himalayan is priced from Rs 1.91 to Rs 1.95 lakh and we expect the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan to carry a premium of around Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000.
