Public test rides are poised to commence early September

Ultraviolette Automotive, on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, organised a test ride of the F77 e-bike for the Indian aviation community, members of the Indian Air Force included. This test of the production-ready F77 took place at the Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Ltd. (TAAL) airfield in Hosur.

The EV maker has confirmed that the bike is in its production-ready stage and that public test rides will commence by early September this year. The bike was slated to be launched in the market in March this year, but its introduction was pushed to September.

The Ultraviolette F77 is India’s first performance-oriented electric motorcycle. It is powered by a 25kW electric motor which produces 90Nm, figures that help the bike reach a top speed of 147kmph. Since its initial unveiling in 2019, the e-bike has undergone a lot of upgrades and now claims a range of around 200km.

The F77, once launched, is likely to bear a price tag upwards of Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). You can also check out the Tork Kratos and Revolt RV 400 electric bikes currently available in India at more affordable rates.
