Yes, Royal Enfield offers official lightweight exhausts for its Classic 350 range but there’s a catch

Royal Enfield has been offering official exhaust systems for its lineup since 2019. However, now, the exhaust range is limited to the Classic 350. There are 16 exhaust systems available in different shapes and finishes and they come in three price points:
All of these exhaust systems are 40 percent lighter than the stock unit. It takes just 15 minutes to install one and also comes with a 2-year warranty from the manufacturer itself. The best bit is that these exhaust systems are compliant both in terms of noise and emission norms for the BS3 or BS4 versions of the Royal Enfield Classic 350. However, the disappointing news is that these exhaust systems are not compatible with BS6-compliant versions of the Classic 350.

The BS6 Classic 350 uses a closed-loop fuel-injection system. This system measures the oxygen content in the exhaust gases via an O2 sensor and alters the air-fuel ratio in the fuel-injection system accordingly. So adding a non-stock exhaust will result in a change in the exhaust gas quality and might affect the engine’s combustion efficiency, not to mention failing to adhere to the strict BS6 emission norms. That said, we hope Royal Enfield develops a range of exhaust systems specifically for BS6-compliant bikes soon. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 starts from Rs 1,59,851 for the single-channel ABS variant and goes all the way to Rs 1,84,482 for the alloy wheels and dual-channel ABS-equipped variant (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

- Royal Enfield Classic 350 is my dream bike and now i own this..I've always wanted to purchase a Royal Enfield, and the Classic 350 was my first pick. For Indian riders in particular, it's more than simply a bike; it's a feeling. I also gave the Jawa and Honda CB350 some thought, but nothing compares to the Classic's legacy and appeal. Long YouTube reviews, forum conversations, and advice from friends abound throughout my research quest. I finally knew this was the bike after a test ride. It felt like mine right away—the comfort, the road presence, the thump. The thump of the engine and the riding posture makes it feel special every time. On highways, it cruises beautifully at 80–90 kmph, and in city, it feels stable though heavy in traffic. Mileage is around 34–36 kmpl. Negatives are the slightly heavy weight and higher maintenance compared to normal bikes, but for the experience it gives, I don’t mind. Yes, for anyone who wants to feel a strong connection with their bike and enjoys relaxed, powerful riding. It is not for people who want lightweight, high-mileage bikes. But for enthusiasts and travel lovers, it is the perfect choice.Read More1
