New Images Of The Possible Harley-Davidson 300cc Cruiser Emerge

Pictures suggest the bike is already in its production trim and could be launched pretty soon

Pictures suggest the bike is already production-ready and could be launched pretty soon

  • Qianjiang had partnered with Harley-Davidson to make a 300cc motorcycle.
  • It’s currently called the Qianjiang SRV300.
  • The bike gets a 300cc liquid-cooled V-twin producing 30.7PS of power.

Approval documents for the upcoming Qianjiang SRV300 had been leaked online a little over a month back. These documents led us to believe the SRV300 could be the upcoming Harley-Davidson Cruiser. Qianjiang joined hands with Harley-Davidson in 2019 to produce small-capacity budget-friendly motorcycles, however, the ongoing pandemic forced the business to adopt a new strategy. The SRV300, though, still seems to be on track, in fact, it looks production-ready. Harley just needs to swap the stickers and badges for its own and it’s good to go.

The pictures do a bit more than just show us the bike. Also listed is the wheelbase which measures in at 1,400mm and the tyre sizes: front 120/80-16, rear 150/80-16. The riding posture seems relatively upright with forward-set foot controls and what looks like a well-cushioned seat. Although we’re not too sure about plonking your better half on the pillion seat; it’s too small to even accommodate a child.

The overall styling is similar to the Harley-Davidson Iron 883 with some minor upgrades, including an all-LED lighting system and possibly a full-digital instrument cluster.

The bike will be powered by a 296cc liquid-cooled V-twin motor producing 30.7PS of power with a claimed top speed of 128kmph. Sure, that is less, but you could expect loads of torque considering it’s a V-twin. Also, a 6-speed transmission should make cruising at triple-digit speeds a piece of cake. It’s surprisingly light too at 163kg kerb, which means it should be a lot easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces.

Cruisers are Harley's bread and butter and the SRV300 could help reel in newer riders and improve sales. Expect the American bike maker to foray into the small-capacity segment with the cruiser and follow it up with the Harley Davidson 350 roadster.

Great Bike In This Segment

As per an expensive brand little hard about the maintenance but no compromise in comfort and styling. If you are a Harley fan then it's a great advantage for you.
