Renowned two-wheeler manufacturing company, Bajaj Auto, has achieved one more milestone in its journey of success by delivering its highly anticipated bike KTM Duke 200 designed in joint venture with Austrian bike manufacturing company KTM, almost a week before the scheduled time. According to industry reports, Bajaj has started the delivery of KTM Duke 200 in metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Pune. Reports also reveal that company will also be exporting this bike to its dealers in South East Asian and Latin American countries.
Delivery of KTM Duke 200 has come at the time when another leading bike manufacturing company, Honda Motors, is preparing to launch its highly acclaimed bike Honda CBR 250R on Indian roads with the newly introduced color scheme in next few days. KTM Duke 200 is considered as one of the tough contenders for Honda CBR 250R in segment of 200 to 250cc bikes in Indian bike market. It is anticipated that price will be the major variant of competition between both these bikes. The ex-showroom price of KTM Duke 200 is Rs. 1,17,500 whereas speculated price of 2012 Honda CBR 250R is Rs. 1,15,000. It is reported that Bajaj Autos has targeted the sales of 2,000 units of Duke 200 per month. For sale of KTM Duke 200 in Indian bike market Bajaj has established exclusive showroom throughout India.
To encourage sales of Duke 200, Bajaj has converted its pro-biking dealers into KTM stores for selling bikes of KTM and Kawasaki brand. As far as after sales service is concerned, Bajaj has assured that Duke 200 can be serviced by trained mechanics. After delivery of KTM Duke 200 in Indian bike market now eyes have turned towards Bajaj’s next launch of the year that is Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS. Pulsar 200 NS is the modified version of Bajaj’s successful variant Bajaj Pulsar which had played a major role in establishing Bajaj’s position to greater heights in Indian bike market.
