...and it's an all-new single pod unit

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 was last spotted in late 2020, where it revealed many new elements of the upcoming bike. This time around the Hunter 350’s spy shots have revealed its instrument cluster, which seems to be an all-new unit.

It is a semi-digital analogue unit with a single pod that indicates speed and a MID underneath which should show all other information. There’s chrome lining throughout the instrument cluster and it looks pretty premium for a 350cc Royal Enfield. We expect the MID to show information like fuel efficiency, fuel level, and distance to empty in addition to the basic bits. The Tripper Navigation system is missing in the spy shot.

The interesting thing here is its positioning. The unit seems to be offset, not centrally positioned, which hints that RE might offer the Tripper Navigation system as an accessory. This can also mean that like the recently launched Himalayan, the Tripper Navigation pod would be placed just beside the all-new unit of the Hunter 350. It’s the same case with the upcoming 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 as well

Compared to the current Classic 350, the Hunter 350 looks like a more premium product and draws inspiration from RE’s flagship, the Interceptor 650. By no means the test mules look production-ready, indicating that its launch might be a little far down the road.

The Hunter will be based on RE’s new ‘J platform’ similar to the Meteor 350. It will be powered by the same motor as seen on the Meteor, where it makes 20.4PS and 27Nm.
