The bike could be manufactured in India and priced aggressively

    Quick News Highlights

    • The KTM E-Duke has been spotted for the first time

    • Could likely be powered by a 10kW motor

    • Might probably be manufactured in Bajaj’s Chakan plant

The upcoming KTM E-Duke prototype has been spotted for the first time. In a social media post by KTM stunt rider Rok Bagros, the upcoming electric bike has been revealed. The bike was showcased at the KTM Motohall Exhibition, located at the company’s HQ in Austria.

The bike has a sharper and more modern looking design, which is inline with what we have already seen on the 250 and the 390 Duke. The new design takes the aggressiveness to a new level altogether, with the faux tank and sharp extensions. The mesh seat also looks like an interesting addition and stands out as compared to a regular seat.

Back in 2022, KTM had revealed that they would be using a 10kW (nominal) motor and a 5.5kWh battery pack. This could mean that the bike could offer engaging performance, but not enough range to make it practical for everyday commutes. The bike could have a claimed range of about 150km.

Another interesting detail that was revealed in the video was the charging cable. This means that the bike could feature an on-board charger, which would make it quite convenient. The rider won’t have to worry about carrying a heavy and bulky charger, and it should also make charging a lot easier while travelling.

The bike’s chassis seems to have taken a lot of elements from the KTM 390 Duke and could mean that the bike might be manufactured in India. Another interesting detail we spotted was the chain-drive, which would make it easier to maintain as compared to a belt-drive transmission.

The E-Duke also features an WP Apex inverted fork, with full-adjustibility, and an off-set monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends with a disc brake setup at both ends. Features wise, the electric bike sports a smaller TFT-console. The switchgear also looks quite different from what we have already seen on the Gen-3 KTM 390 Duke and the new 2025 KTM 390 Adventure.

Overall, the bike looks quite interesting. While we would have loved to see it rival the Ultraviolette F77 Superstreet, specs suggest it to be rival to 150cc petrol-powered bikes like the Honda Unicorn or the Yamaha FZ S.
