Kawasaki recently launched the W800 Street BS6 in India. Besides a cleaner motor, the updated retro motorcycle also got a Rs 1 lakh price cut and now costs Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). Globally, Kawasaki sells the W800 Street along with the classic-looking W800 and W800 Cafe, both of which are yet to come to our shores. Now, Kawasaki has revealed new colours for the three variants of the motorcycle.

W800

The current W800 sold overseas comes in a Metallic Dark Green colour option with chrome accents on the fuel tank, mirrors, headlamp bezel, fenders and dual exhausts. On the updated model, the green makes way for a metallic blue colour scheme. The chrome trim remains unchanged.

The more understated W800 Street variant is currently available in a dual-tone Metallic Flat Spark Black/ Metallic Matt Graphite Grey colour option. Kawasaki has now updated it with a matte grey fuel tank with metallic black fenders. The large W logo on the fuel tank has been replaced with subtle W800 branding at the bottom.

Kawasaki’s W800 Cafe sold abroad gets a unique dual-tone Metallic Magnesium Grey/Galaxy Silver paint scheme with a brown seat. The new model gets a monotone dark grey paint scheme with a contrasting blue seat cover.

All three variants use the same powertrain and underpinnings. They get an air-cooled parallel-twin 773cc motor. The India-spec BS6 model delivers 52PS and 62.9Nm. It gets a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch.

While the chances of Kawasaki launching the other two variants of the W800 in India appear slim, the Japanese bikemaker could offer the new colour option in the W800 Street in the near future.
