Kawasaki has updated the sports tourer with an all-new paint scheme!

The motorcycle will now be available in matte silver colour option.
However, the colour scheme will be limited to just 60 units.
Prices remain unchanged at Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Kawasaki has introduced an all-new ‘Metallic Matte Fusion Silver’ colour for the Ninja 1000. Like what you see? Well, we have some good and bad news. The bad news is that only 60 units of Ninja 1000 with the new paint option will be available. The good news is that the prices have remained unchanged at Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Kawasaki already offers the sport tourer in two different colour options - green and black.

In terms of pricing, the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 competes against the Ducati SuperSport.

India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. (IKM) announces the addition of new colour of Ninja 1000 ABS ‘Metallic Matte Fusion Silver’ as variant. A dream combination of Ninja Sportbike performance + Touring potential. The price remains unchanged and will be limited to 60 units only for the Indian market.

The philosophy of developing Ninja 1000 ABS was to build a motorcycle which provides the combination of Sports riding and touring. The model gets racing instinct of Ninja along with additional capability of touring. It holds the legacy of sports tourer and boasts an attractive proposition of new design and colour to the family.

We have launched upgraded Ninja 1000 ABS on July 2017 bundled with:

LED headlamps along with pilot lamp.
New detailed display console
Comfortable ergonomics
Improved aerodynamics
Reduced weight

Ninja 1000 ABS also available in two colour option “Candy lime green” and “Metallic spark black”. Customer has accepted the motorcycle with overwhelming response.

Ninja 1000 ABS attracts riders who are looking for an upgrade from middleweight category to litre class with sports tourer comfort. A sports tourer offers various advantages to a rider who sightsees long distance on motorcycle, uniform power delivery and stainless riding, preventing riders from fatigue during long journey.

With its powerful 1000cc, inline 4-cylinder engine, the Ninja 1000 ABS has a crisp and strong pull from all rpms. The Sports Tourer Is Fantastic
I absolutely love the Ninja 1000 SX! It's incredibly versatile, shifting between a friendly ride and a wild one when needed. Plus, it's relatively affordable to maintain compared to other 1000cc bikes. Despite its size, it's very comfortable and has great mileage. The power is smooth and easy to manage, with decent ground clearance that's perfect for riding in Gujarat. The adjustable rear mono shock is a lifesaver when traveling with a passenger, and the plush ride makes it perfect for long trips.

Value for Money Sport Tourer
Writing this review after clocking 14,000 km on my 2022 Ninja 1000SX. To start with, very comfortable bike for long-distance touring. It was a little intimidating in beginning due to its size and weight but as you ride the bike everything falls into place and gets your confidence. Seat height is comfortable for someone more than 5.8” tall and 235 kgs of weight is properly distributed, only will feel the weight while manoeuvring bikes in parking or at tight U-turns. The electronic package put this bike a true value-for-money machine but at the same time needs to be very careful with cables and sensors. The engine is silky smooth in whatever gear and speed you ride. Heat management is fine and manageable for such a large engine. Ground clearance was the biggest issue due to the big catalyst convertor, it scraps almost all speed breakers and I changed to full system Akrapovic exhaust, making the bike lighter and adding much-needed ground clearance. Quickshifter makes the bike more fun, upshifts are fine but downshift is not as smooth and also don’t work below 2500 rpm. The stock windshield is adequate but above 140 kms/h you can feel a lot of wind blasts hitting your helmet no matter if you keep it in what setting. I was quite surprised with the way the bike performed on corners, it feels so simple and easy on curves that you tend to forget the bike’s weight and on highways it’s so stable thanks to the weight here. Due to the early steering lock and the weight of the bike, one needs to be careful during tight U-turns for the first few months of ownership. Fuel consumption is decent for a litre class bike, I get somewhere around 18 to 19 km per litre but Kawasaki recommends 95 octane fuel for their litre class bikes which is a little more costly than normal petrol. Kawasaki's general service is ok but parts are very expensive and also not readily available which will frustrate users. Overall, hand down Ninja 1000SX is the best sports tourer currently available in India. It has got all the electronic packages to keep you safe and a great suspension and engine to cruise our highways at a good speed and comfortably. If someone has shortlisted Ninja 1000SX then please go ahead with the purchase it will bring a smile every time you swing your legs on it. Period.
