Honda Manufacturing (Nigeria) Ltd., a motorcycle production and sales subsidiary of Honda in Nigeria, has launched a new CG110 motorcycle model, which went on sale in Nigeria. In the first glance the bike looks like a commuter from 90s, because of its minimal body work on a single down tube chassis. Other features are also similar to those commuters like spoke wheels, rectangular headlamp, tail light and indicators, flat seat and fuel tank, convensional suspension system, metallic front mudguard, box type analog instrument console and round shape rear view mirrors.

The new Honda CG110 is a 110cc bike developed based on the comprehensive pursuit of fuel economy and durability to accommodate the various customer needs and road conditions in Nigeria. Leveraging Honda's global network, the affordability of Honda motorcycle products was further enhanced for this product, realizing a sales price of approximately 100,000 naira, which is equal to Rs. 38,793 according to the current exchange rate. Honda plans to sell 40,000 units of CG110 annually.

In addition to the CG110, Honda introduced and began sales of two updated 125cc-class models named Ace CB125 and Ace CB125-D which underwent a minor model change. Since their market introduction on September 29, 2011, Ace CB125 has been well received for its excellent fuel economy and practical utility and Ace CB125-D has been well received for its excellent rider comfort and cargo capacity made possible by the adoption of a long seat. By adding an eagerly awaited, highly practical and affordable new model in the 110cc class, the largest segment in the motorcycle market in Nigeria, Honda will strive to further expand its motorcycle sales in Nigeria.
