Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the second largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, today inaugurated its new traffic-training park in Hyderabad, in collaboration with Hyderabad Traffic Police. This is Honda’s 8th traffic park in India and its landmark 1st traffic park to promote road safety in South India.

The inauguration was graced by chief guest Mr. Mahendar Reddy (IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad), Mr. Jitender (IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad); Mr. Tomoaki Nagayama (Deputy Director, South Region, Sales & Marketing, HMSI) and Mr. Ashish Chaudhary (Assistant General Manager - South Region, Sales & Marketing,  HMSI).

Honda has adopted and developed the traffic training park at Goshamahal as a mini city, right from traffic signals to zebra crossings to speed breakers etc. Here, Honda’s skilled male and female safety instructors will educate all age groups starting from 5 years children on road safety, with a special focus on new and female riders.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tomoaki Nagayama, Deputy Director - South Region, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Honda believes that with proper training, safe-riding habits can be inculcated amongst two-wheeler riders. Honda has already got phenomenal thumbs up by educating over 1.42 lac individuals at its 7 existing traffic parks in India. As the next step, Honda has adopted its first traffic park in South India. Now more and more people in Hyderabad can learn how to ride a two-wheeler safely and conveniently from Honda’s skilled and trusted safety instructors.”

Honda has launched a unique opportunity for females in Hyderabad! For the 1st time, any female over 18 years of age can learn how to ride a 2Wheeler at Honda’s traffic park. Here dedicated women safety instructors will train them to become independent riders in just 4 hours if they know cycling.

Children too will learn about ‘Safety with Fun’ and become road safety ambassadors in their family. 5-8 year olds will be engaged by games like road safety snakes & ladder and cycling while 9-12 year olds will learn from practical experience on CRF 50 motorcycle.

Existing Hyderabad riders can test their riding skills on narrow plank and new riders can increase their ability to predict & react to traffic hazards on Honda’s Proprietary riding simulators.
