Thankfully, the premium isn’t all that much this time

  • The Honda Dio BS6 was launched in February 2020.
  • Both the standard and DLX variants have received a minor price hike.
  • Honda recently launched a new colour variant, the Repsol Edition, for Rs 2,500 over the DLX variant.

Honda has hiked the prices of its popular sporty 110cc scooter, the Dio, yet again. Thankfully, this time around, the premium isn’t substantial enough to put you off from buying it. Check out the latest ex-showroom Delhi price list:

Apart from the price hike, Honda recently introduced a sportier variant of the Dio, called the Repsol Edition. This one comes with Honda’s MotoGP-inspired colour scheme and the changes are strictly cosmetic. Honda has priced this variant at Rs Rs 67,820, which is Rs 2,500 over the DLX model.

No mechanical changes have been made to the scooter. It continues to use the same, all-new 109.51cc air-cooled engine as the Honda Activa 6G. In the Dio, the motor churns out 7.76PS and 9Nm. Notable features of the BS6-compliant version include a telescopic front fork, all-digital instrument cluster with real-time mileage indicator, silent starter, engine kill switch, and an external fuel filler cap. The only grinch is that even in its BS6 avatar, it does not get a front disc brake even as an option. The scooter continues to use the same 130mm drum on both ends, with CBS as before.
