Honda has revealed the pricing of its limited-edition CBR250RR Garuda x Samurai in Indonesia: IDR 7,77,00,000 (around Rs 3.95 lakh), a premium of around Rs 2,000 over the CBR250RR in Racing Red colour scheme. The Garuda x Samurai gets cosmetic updates in the form of a unique paint scheme. Initially, just 75 units of the special-edition motorcycle will be made available to commemorate the Republic of Indonesia’s 75th Independence Day.

The special livery on the motorcycle represents Indonesian and Japanese culture. Hence, the name Garuda x Samurai. It gets special Indonesian Batik and Japanese Sakura patterns on the fairing and headlamp cowl. One side has the Garuda and the other side gets a Samurai illustration. The wheels are painted golden for a premium effect. It continues to use the CBR250RR’s sporty bodywork and features like the twin LED headlamp and digital instrument console.

Power comes from a 249.7PS in-line parallel-twin motor that delivers 41PS at 13,000rpm and 25Nm at 11,000rpm. It gets ride-by-wire and three rider modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport+. The 6-speed gearbox gets a slip and assist clutch and a quickshifter. Underpinnings comprise a diamond-type frame with upside-down forks and a pro-link monoshock. Braking is via disc brakes at both ends.

The chances of Honda launching the CBR250RR in India are very slim considering its high pricing. Instead, we could get the CBR300R here. The closest Indian supersport motorcycles in terms of performance are the KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 which is yet to be launched in BS6 trim.
