Honda has unveiled the ADV 150 in the USA. An adventure maxi-scooter, it gets long-travel suspension and chunky dual-purpose tyres. Here’s everything you need to know about the ADV 150 via detailed images.

The ADV 150's design has been inspired by the more hardcore X-ADV adventure scooter. The muscular bodywork with large wheels and long-travel suspension gives the scooter a purposeful look.

The ADV 150 gets twin LED headlamps and LED DRL's. It comes with LED turn indicators and an LED tail lamp as well.

It gets a large windscreen that's manually adjustable to two positions. The windscreen should work well for touring.

The Honda ADV 150 offers plenty of storage space. It has a large 27-litre underseat storage compartment that can easily hold a full-size helmet along with other knick-knacks.

It also has a 2-litre storage shelf in the front apron with an inbuilt 12-volt USB charger so you can securely charge your smartphone.

The ADV 150’s motor and fuel-tank are mounted low in the frame. This allows it to have a low centre of gravity, which makes it easier to handle.

The ADV 150 has a motorcycle styled handlebar. The front apron mounted digital LCD screen gets blue backlighting and includes the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, average and instantaneous fuel consumption, dual tripmeter readouts, oil change indicator, clock, date readout and an ambient temperature gauge.

The Honda ADV 150cc gets a 149cc liquid-cooled and fuel-injected single-cylinder motor that delivers 14.5PS of power at 8500rpm and 13.8Nm of torque at 6500rpm. It gets a V-matic suspension setup. The scooter features start-stop tech and an ACG starter generator like the Activa 6G for silent starts.

The adventure scooter gets an 8-litre fuel tank. Honda claims the ADV 150 offers a fuel efficiency of 46.6kmpl. Theoretically, the ADV 150 should offer a range of around 370km.

The ADV 150 gets high-spec underpinnings in the form of a dual-cradle frame 31mm Showa telescopic forks and twin Showa gas-charged shock absorbers.

It gets 14-inch front and 13-inch rear alloy wheels with 110/80-14 front and 130/70-13 rear dual-purpose tyres. Braking is via a 240mm front disc and 220mm rear disc with single-channel ABS. The US-spec ADV 150 though gets a 130mm rear disc.

The Honda ADV has a 795mm tall seat and weighs 133kg. Its 165mm ground clearance is pretty good for a scooter.

Other than the US, the Honda ADV 150 is also available in Indonesia where it costs Rp 36.5 million (around Rs 1.8 lakh) for the ABS variant. Honda is highly unlikely to launch the ADV 150 in India anytime soon.
