After unveiling it at the Auto Expo 2014, Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India Limited (HMSI) has finally launched the 125cc variant of India's favourite automatic scooter Activa named Activa 125. The launch event was held in Mumbai and the company has priced the standard variant of the scooter at Rs. 52,447, while the Deluxe variant costs you Rs. 58,156 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
The design of the Activa 125 has an interesting combination of both Activa and Aviator, which makes it a sporty scooter with elegance. Front of the scooter gets a stylish apron with chrome garnishing and turn indicators, while the headlamp is mounted on handlebar. It comes with a very comfortable seat for two with a large under-seat storage.
The scooter gets a very sporty rear with edgy taillamps and integrated turn indicators, which makes it different from the 110cc model. Powered by 124.9cc, forced air-cooled engine, it churns out 8.6bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 10.12Nm. V-matic transmission makes the ride smooth, while combi brake system (CBS) enhances the control in braking.
The Honda Activa 125 Standard gets all the basic features of an automatic scooter along with a durable all metal body on an underbone type chassis and advanced front telescopic forks, while the Deluxe variant gets something extra. Honda Activa 125 Deluxe features 190mm front disc brake and 5-spoke alloy wheels.
