Suzuki GSX-10R Unveiled At EICMA 2026
It’s not as powerful as the other 1000cc superbikes but it looks good and promises to be more usable in the real world

The Suzuki GSX-10R has been unveiled at EICMA 2026 and there’s quite a lot to talk about. Addressing the elephant in the room right off the bat, this GSX-10R makes ‘only’ 152PS from its 999cc inline-four liquid-cooled engine. We say only because pretty much all of its competition are breaching the 200PS mark, with some of them going way above that too. So is that enough?
While it might not feel as powerful as its rivals, 152PS is still plenty fast, enough to keep you excited. And with a lower power figure, we think Suzuki has gone for a more usable sportbike: a 1000cc superbike that will not only set race tracks on fire but will also not grumble and stutter every time you take it out on our extremely congested roads. Such a more practical approach is something Suzuki did with the GSX-8R too. How the bike is to ride, apart from that, is something we’ll be seeing soon.

In terms of hardware, there’s adjustable KYB suspension both at the front and the back and there are Brembo brakes ensuring the bike stops as quickly as possible. Another thing keyboard warriors might rant about is the fact that at 214kg, the GSX-100R is also a bit heavier than its rivals. Meaning the Suzuki bike is less on power and high on weight. The colour TFT console has a whole host of features like wheelie control, launch control, traction control, quickshifter, etc, all things that we’ve come to associate immediately with premium sportbikes.

Whether the GSX-10R will come to India is a separate conversation altogether. Since both the Suzuki GSX-8R and the V-Strom 800DE are sold in India, we sincerely hope Suzuki brings this bike to India too, for we could do with a more comfortable litre class sportbike. Such versatility would especially be attached on our unpredictably bad roads.
