    Quick Highlights:

    • New S variant of the Kawasaki Z650 launched

    • Gets a fresher design, and additional features

    • Deliveries for the bike have commenced all across the country

Kawasaki has launched the new Z650 S in India at Rs 7.59 lakh (ex-showroom). This new S variant gets a sharper design inspired by the brand’s Sugomi styling language, along with a few feature updates. Deliveries of the motorcycle have commenced across India.

    What’s New?

The biggest change comes in the styling department. The Z650 S gets a redesigned headlight and tail-light, taking inspiration from the larger Kawasaki Z900. It follows Kawasaki’s Sugomi design language, giving it a sharper and more aggressive appearance. The motorcycle is offered in a single White/Green colour option.

It also gets a new 4.3-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Kawasaki is also offering a quickshifter as an optional accessory for this bike. The new variant weighs 193 kg (kerb), which is 5 kg more than the standard Z650.

    What’s Unchanged

    Kawasaki Z650 S

Mechanically, the Z650 S remains unchanged. It continues to use the familiar 649 cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 68 PS and 64 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The suspension setup also remains the same, with an RSU fork at the front and a backlink monoshock at the rear. However, Kawasaki has reduced the size of the brake discs. The front now gets twin 272 mm discs instead of 300 mm units, while the rear disc has been downsized from 220 mm to 186 mm.

    BikeDekho Says

The Kawasaki Z650 S is priced at Rs 7.59 lakh, making it Rs 33,000 more expensive than the standard Z650, which costs Rs 7.26 lakh (ex-showroom). With its updated styling and additional features, the S variant offers a fresher take on Kawasaki’s middleweight naked motorcycle.

      Worth every single penny
I am a huge fan of riding, and this bike delivers what almost every rider want , an aggressive approach and smooth handling. Just loved it , however, cost of maintenance and other stuff can get quiet expensive . If you are looking for an weekend kinda bike , then I'll recommend it but not for city (especially crowded cities like mumbai) where u hardly get good patch with low traffic , plus u will encounter speed breakers at the least expected place , so for everyday it's a NO. I cannot stress on how good it glides , even with heavy pillion . Overall a great package if your budget allows it
