Hero has unveiled the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition, the most premium variant of the bike. The new top variant gets a massive upgrade in terms of features, with a new console, riding modes and even a cruise control system. The updates are similar to what the Hero Xtreme 125R got.
What Is New?
With the Combat Edition, Hero MotoCorp has made some changes to the bike’s design. It now comes with a sharper looking LED headlight and also gets the signature grey/fluorescent yellow colour scheme.
On the features front, the bike now gets the same colour LCD console as the Hero Glamour X 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R. The console displays speed, fuel level, time, gear position, a tachometer, an odometer, and twin tripmeters. The console looks quite upmarket, and feels like a big upgrade compared to the base variant’s small-sized LCD console.
The bike now gets a ride-by-wire throttle, which means that the throttle is controlled electronically. This has unlocked a few new features including 3 riding modes, and a cruise control system. Although not confirmed, the riding modes should modulate the level of power and performance and should bring a level of versatility to the bike’s performance.
The addition of the cruise control system should help reduce rider fatigue during highway stints. However, we cannot really say for certain how practical this will be as Indian highways are usually packed with enough traffic to force you to modulate your speed quite often.
What Remains Unchanged?
The bike is still powered by the same 163.2cc, air and oil-cooled engine which produces 16.9Ps and 14.6Nm. The bike gets the same KYB inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup, and rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The braking setup consists of a 276mm front and 220mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS.
Launch & Expected Price
We expect the bike to be launched very soon. It could come at a premium of around Rs 5,000 over the base Xtreme 160R. For perspective, the Hero Xtreme 160R is priced at Rs 1,29,615 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Also the build quality is not very well as recently had an minor accident and the left usd broke, rim got bent. Leaving that side, it has a great acceleration till 70-80 after then the engine gets some stress. Mileage is also not a great highlight in this but ok around 35-37.
