… and you can only book it on Hero’s website

After launching the XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition earlier this week, Hero MotoCorp has now opened bookings for this limited-run model on its website for a token amount of Rs 10,000. The booking window too is open for a limited time, until July 29. Priced at Rs 1,52,100 (ex-showroom Delhi), this bike is Rs 16,122 more expensive than the standard XPulse 200 4V

Draped in the Hero MotoSports Team Rally colours of white and red, this seasoned off-roader gets a fully adjustable front fork with 250mm travel and a 10-step preload-adjustable rear shock with 220mm wheel travel. Further boosting the exclusivity factor is the fact that this bike bears Indian Dakar Rally star CS Santosh’s signature on the fuel tank.

The rally edition misses out on the rally seat, although seat height has gone up from 825mm to 885mm, while the ground clearance has increased by 50mm. It also gets a raised handlebar, longer gear shift lever and side stand (to account for the increased ground clearance). Tipping the scales at 160kg, it gains a mere 2kg over the standard XPulse 200 4V.

The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres and the braking hardware remain the same as the standard model. It also gets the same 200cc single-cylinder air-cooled mill with oil cooler, that makes 19.1PS and 17.35Nm. Even the LED illumination and Bluetooth-compatible LCD console remain unaltered.

If you have the standard XPulse 200 4V, you can still opt for the Rally Kit like before, which offers additional off-road spec parts like Maxxis knobbies and a flat, rally-style seat, but still misses out on the fully adjustable front suspension. The Rally Kit commands a premium of Rs 46,000 though.
