The event is set to return after an additional year’s hiatus

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has announced the return of the Auto Expo,  after a year’s gap, with proceedings set tentatively for January 13 to 18, 2023.

Readers may recall that the 2022 edition of the biennial event was cancelled amid fears of the third wave of the pandemic. However, with Covid-19 abating (thankfully!), and both the number and frequency of launches picking up, the re-emergence of a large-scale event such as this was the next logical step. And as before, the auto show will once again be held at the India Expo Mart (Greater Noida), while the auto components show will take place at the revamped Pragati Maidan complex (Delhi NCR).

However, there may still be a few things to consider. Firstly, the 2020 Auto Expo, which was held even before ‘pandemic’ became a part of common parlance, witnessed significantly less footfall, with a long list of brands including Hero, Bajaj, Honda, Royal Enfield, BMW Motorrad, TVS, and Triumph giving it a miss. Additionally, now that manufacturers across the board have had nearly two years of practice with virtual unveils, doing so comes across as a quicker, more cost-effective alternative to the real thing.

Nevertheless, an actual event is a great opportunity to gauge the response among enthusiasts as well as prospective customers. And last but not least, the 2020 Auto Expo witnessed several new players in the EV space, and with the recent EV boom, we can surely expect something exciting in the days to come.

And as it goes without saying, this article is just the first in a long list of sneak peeks and previews, the culmination of which would be the real-time reports from the 2023 Auto Expo itself; so stay tuned to BikeDekho for all the details.

      what a ride
The most comfortable racing scooter ever been made feels like your riding sports bike and vibe is so flaunting that it makes you the show stealer and show stopper, all in all my experience in buying this is way too beyond expectations and the sound produced from this beast is on next level. No other scooters of this generations can beat out of it as it can.

      Owned Aprilia for over 2 years / 15000km +
I have owned the Aprilia SR125 facelift for over two years and 15,000 + km. The scooter offers sporty performance with excellent handling and braking. Its stiffer suspension enhances high-speed stability, although the initial pickup is lower than previous Aprilia models. The BS6 facelift boasts impressive mileage, averaging 45-50 km/l at speeds of 50-60 km/h. Service costs are reasonable and lower than those of the Ntorq, which my friend purchased around the same time. The build quality is excellent, with no signs of cost-cutting, providing great value for money. The service is reliable and avoids unnecessary charges. This unique bike is rare, and I am very happy with my choice.
