Do you want to re-map your KTM Duke's engine but worried about the warranty, reliability and life of the bike? Now, no need to worry as KTM is bringing factory certified engine maps for its customers in India soon and will become the first manufacturer in India to offer this kind of technology. These maps will be will be available in two modes- Performance map and City map.
Changing or installing new ECU settings after market generally voids your vehicle's warranty and some time lack of proficiency results in damaging reliability and life of your vehicle. However, KTM Engine Maps will be factory approved by KTM Austria, so you don't have to worry for any reliability issue or warranty of your bike. These maps will be made available for installation at the authorized KTM workshops and only one type of map can be installed at a time. So, if you want to change the settings, you have to go again to the service centre.
KTM is also planning to launch roadside assistance program for its Indian customers within a range of 100kms from KTM workshop, which will be called Orange Assist. In this assistance, the company will send a pick-up service for your bike in case of a breakdown, running out of fuel and medical help, which depends on the information you will provide on the call.
