EXCLUSIVE: 2024 KTM 390 Adventure Spotted Testing Once Again

It will get the 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine from the KTM 390 Duke, but the motor will likely be tuned differently to suit the ADV’s characteristic

The upcoming 2024 KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted testing in India once again. The latest spy shots give us a clearer look at the bike’s front-end design. It gets the same rally-inspired design with a rally tower on which the instrument console is mounted and a tall visor for better wind protection.

At the front, the 2024 KTM 390 Adventure has vertically stacked projector headlights and sleek indicators. The ADV gets a beak-like front fender design. The tall visor has a cutout that works as an air vent and the number plate mount is also placed on the visor itself. The ADV has a tall and easy-to-reach handlebar and slightly rear-set footpegs that offer the rider a comfortable and upright riding posture. In the latest images, the ADV also features a knuckle guard. Yep….a knuckle guard because funnily, the test bike has it only on one side.

The upcoming 390 Adventure has a slim single-piece seat and long, wide grab rails that should also serve as saddle bag mounts. The bike features a sleek rear design with a slim tail light. It comes fitted with leg guards, a saree guard and a sump guard. Instead of a long upswept exhaust, the ADV has an underbelly exhaust, which might limit its off-road and water-wading capabilities.

More About The Upcoming 2024 KTM 390 Adventure

The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure is likely to get the same 399cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the KTM 390 Duke, which produces 46PS and 39Nm. However, we expect the engine to be tuned differently to suit the ADV’s nature.

The upcoming 390 Adventure may also get the same 5-inch TFT from the KTM Duke 390. The console offers smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation as well. Earlier spy shots suggest that the console is positioned more upright on the rally tower. The bike may also include rider aids such as a quickshifter, traction control, and switchable ABS.

The ADV appears to have a redesigned trellis frame with a new subframe. It is equipped with a long-travel WP inverted fork and an offset monoshock. While the full details of the braking setup are not yet revealed, the rotors look different from the lightweight ones in the current Duke and RC range. Additionally, the bike seems to ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, wrapped in block pattern tyres.

2024 KTM 390 Adventure: Expected Price & Launch Date

The 2024 390 Adventure is likely to be priced around Rs 3.8 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. We expect the ADV to launch in India by late 2024 or early 2025. It may also be showcased alongside the KTM 390 Adventure R (Enduro) at the EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. Rivals for the bike include the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
