The KTM 390 Duke is made in India for the world. It was pretty much the same everywhere (barring some feature and regulatory changes) until recently, when KTM made slightly bigger changes to the hardware of the international-spec model. Colour Options

The India-spec KTM 390 Duke is offered in three colour schemes: Gun Metal Grey, Electronic Orange, and Atlantic Blue. All three shades look sporty and aggressive, staying true to the Duke’s streetfighter DNA. Tyre choice also differs. The India-spec model rolls on Apollo Alpha H1 tyres, which are quite capable for sporty street riding. The international bike, however, gets Michelin Power 6 tyres, offering better outright grip and a more performance-oriented compound.

Design & Practical Add-ons

To comply with Indian regulations, the India-spec KTM 390 Duke comes equipped with an engine guard and saree guard, along with a different rear number plate mount. These additions add some visual bulk.

The international-spec model skips the engine and saree guards altogether and features a slimmer tail section, making it look sharper and sportier.

All of this also reflects on the scales. The India-spec bike weighs 168.3kg kerb, whereas the international-spec Duke is lighter at 165kg.

What Remains the Same

Thankfully, KTM hasn’t compromised where it matters most. Both versions share the same engine, underpinnings, electronics, and core features. Dimensions such as seat height, ground clearance, and fuel tank capacity are identical, meaning the riding experience remains largely unchanged.

The India-spec KTM 390 Duke makes a strong case for itself with a much more accessible price, without sacrificing performance or features that truly matter.
