Yamaha R15 V4 Gets A Price Hike
With the updated pricing, the top-spec variant of the R15 is now Rs 16,000 more expensive than the Pulsar NS400Z

Yamaha has increased the prices of all variants of the R15 V4 in India by Rs 4,900. According to the increment, the most affordable variant of the R15 V4 is now priced at Rs 1,71,100, while the top-spec is priced at Rs 1,96,100, all prices ex-showroom, Delhi.

For a popular bike like the Yamaha R15 V4, this price hike is unlikely to affect the buying decision of most buyers. However, if it were any other small-capacity bike, this increase could have had a more noticeable impact.
Other than the price revision, the bike remains unchanged across all variants. It continues with the tried-and-tested 155cc liquid-cooled engine, producing the same 18.4PS and 14.2Nm. Even in terms of features, nothing has changed; it still offers either an LCD or TFT console, depending on the variant, along with a quickshifter (upshifts only). Additionally, the bike still comes equipped with dual-channel ABS and a switchable traction control system.
With this price hike, the top-spec Icon Performance variant is now priced close to some higher-capacity, and much more powerful bikes in India. That said, the R15’s strong popularity is still likely to keep its sales numbers high.

- The Yamaha R15 V4 is a popular 155cc entry-levelI had a brother who likes riding this old r15 and I was small and didn't knew any super bikes at all, and this was my first super bike which had all sharpnes at edges, the colour, the speed, it had some personality. Its been amazing bike so far, smooth, light weight. Its top speed is pretty good. It gives good mileage. It is very nice for long rides. Performance of the bike is so good. Suspensions works very well on road. Yes, for sure but take my opinion and explore different bike, It may have something that this bike wouldn't have that charm but you can go for it, if you want sporty look and a good racing bike. - Yamaha r15 v4 is a great fully faired sports bikeThe reason i chose this bike was quite a story in short, i was a student who was about get in college and i needed a bike to travel a quite moderate distance. When i was searching for a bike which is highly affordable as well as stylish on the looks and has great features too! Then i came across this masterpiece which was totally worth it. The ride is great so far. But there are few factors to look for if a beginner is going to buy this bike, as a fully fair bike the biggest issue would be comfort on long ride eg. Posture issue because of the aggressive stance fully fair bikes usually have. But for the short to moderate distance its great soo far. And handling also good, and mileage is better than expected. One more thing to consider, if someone lives in a crowded city like area they can this as this bike isn't a street fighter or naked body bike for city specific conditions.
