    Quick News Highlights:

    • Same bike as the one showcased at the 2025 EICMA show

    • Will likely be used in the next season of the GT Cup

    • Its production version is expected to launch in India in 2027 at around Rs 3.90 lakh (ex-showroom)

Royal Enfield has officially unveiled the Continental GT-R 750 race bike in India at the 2025 Motoverse, following its initial showcase at EICMA 2025. This race-spec machine previews the brand’s all-new 750cc platform and will likely be the motorcycle used in the next season of the GT Cup, replacing the current GT 650 racers.

    Retro-Racer Aesthetics

The GT-R 750 race bike carries a sharp retro-racer stance with its bikini fairing, side-mounted race plates and a slightly shortened subframe that makes the bike look more compact than the road-going GT 650. The bike has also got lowered clip-ons, and more rear set footpegs for that aggressively sporty riding position. The livery looks properly sporty, though the blacked-out crankcase may divide opinions among purists who prefer the classic metallic finish that the current Continental GT650 has.

    No Replacement For Displacement

At its core is a re-engineered version of the 648cc parallel-twin, now bumped up to 750cc. The engine is expected to produce around 55PS and 60Nm, marking a notable jump over the GT 650’s 47PS and 52Nm. The race bike also runs a custom free-flow exhaust system for better performance and reduced weight. The same motor has also been spotted on the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750.

To prepare it for competitive racing, Royal Enfield has given the GT-R 750 a Showa telescopic fork, revised twin-shock setup, and 17-inch alloy wheels with high performance tyres for sharper handling. Braking has also been upgraded with twin front discs with Bybre callipers, offering significantly more stopping power than the GT 650.

    What About The Road Version?

The race bike gets a twin-pod instrument console with an analogue speedometer and tachometer; there are also two insets in the console likely to be LCD. The production-spec Continental GT-R 750, spied multiple times, will pack a round TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and media controls.

The production version of the Continental GT-R 750 is expected to be launched in 2027. With the current GT 650 priced from Rs 3.50 lakh, the new 750 could be priced at around Rs 3.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
