-
To be made in India at TVS’ Hosur plant
BMW has confirmed that the F 450 GS will be launched in India on 23 April 2026. It will replace the now discontinued BMW G 310 GS and marks the brand’s shift to a twin-cylinder platform in the entry-level adventure segment. It will be made by TVS at their Hosur factory, where even the 310 was made.
Design
The F 450 GS takes clear inspiration from the larger BMW R 1300 GS with a similar silhouette and headlight – but in a more compact form factor. It has a similarly tall stance, upright riding position, and a windscreen – all typical GS styling.
Variants
The BMW F 450 GS will be offered in four variants: Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and GS Trophy. The higher trims add more equipment such as additional riding modes, adjustable suspension, and some accessories as standard.

This BMW bike will be powered by a 420cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine making 48PS and 43 Nm. It is paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and bidirectional quickshifter. The Trophy version also gets an ‘easy ride clutch’ (ERC) – it automatically manages clutch operation, so no rider modulation is required.
Underpinnings
The 450 GS is built on a new tubular steel chassis, inverted fork, and monoshock – both adjustable. It rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup. Alloy wheels are standard, while the Trophy variant adds tubeless cross-spoke. Kerb weight for the international bike is 178kg, and the India-spec figures may vary given our regulations for a saree guard and more.
Features
The F 450 gets all-LED lighting and a 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets traction control modes, ABS modes, engine brake control, and multiple riding modes like Rain, Road, Enduro – with additional modes on the Trophy trim.
Expected Price
We expect it to be priced somewhere around Rs 5.5 lakh to 6 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and Honda NX500.
BMW F 450 GS User Reviews
It was my dream bike and it's so reliable and smooth. It has many features, like multiple riding mods and the trophy version has a ERC that means (easy riding clutch) it is very helpful to the beginners. The handling of the bike is very smooth and it gives around 20 to 24 milage on an average in highways and its seats are so much comfortable and it has a heating grips which helps me in early morning rides. I like to recommend this bike to the proper off-road bikers and they love this very much because of its handling and ERC you can also adjust the suspensions of both side and have a good off-road experience. I went to the BMW Bengaluru showroom, they are not even accepting booking and the vehicle already has 8 months waiting period which is very high for a made in India bike other than that very good looking and stylish bike with ERC clutch. Very easy to maintain in the city and bumper to bumper traffic conditions.Read More

I am desperately waiting for the bike the headlight looks very interesting. I got chills when I saw the bike's introduction video. the color scheme is perfect. the TFT display makes it look more futuristic. the power output of the bike will be crazy, especially on the trails, I hope the bike has good low-end torque which can help in the trails. although this bike is a big competitor of the Himalayan the BMW F 450 GS will be priced aggressively, at the end of the day it is a BMW. At the end of the day I'm just waiting for the bike to be launched and I get to see the bike in person.Read More
