2026 Kawasaki Versys X 300 Launched: You’ll Need A Magnifying Glass To Find Out What’s new

Kawasaki has launched the 2026 Versys-X 300 at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, same as the previous-generation model’s post GST 2.0 price). While mechanically unchanged from the 2025 model, the new version introduces small cosmetic updates and drops the Metallic Ocean blue / Pearl Robotic White colour.

Design

The 2026 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 will now be offered only in Candy Lime Green / Metallic Flat Spark Black, with slightly refreshed graphics – a new ‘Versys-X’ sticker on the fuel tank. That said, the base colour combination remains the same as before. You also still get the large overall proportions, a tall windscreen, a tail luggage rack, black finish for the engine and silver for the exhaust.

Engine

The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 retains its 296cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine making 40PS at 11,500rpm, 26Nm at 10,000rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.

Underpinnings

This Kawasaki Versys bike is built on a backbone frame, 41mm telescopic fork with 130mm wheel travel, and a gas-charged link-type monoshock with 148mm travel. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels with dual-purpose tubed tyres (100-section front, 130 rear). Seat height is at 815mm, ground clearance at 180mm, kerb weight at 175kg, and fuel tank 17 litres. 

Features

The Kawasaki bike gets a semi-digital console, with the tachometer being analogue. The rest – speedometer, gear position indicator, fuel level, tell-tale lights – are in the LCD inset. The lights are all halogen. Optional Kawasaki accessories such as panniers, fog lamps, hand guards, and a center stand are also available.

Verdict

The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 has remained more or less the same ever since its launch back in November 2017. It’s also the cheapest twin-cylinder adventure bike in India, but apart from the refinement of the parallel-twin, there’s nothing really unique about the bike, unlike its other rivals in the 300cc ADV space. The Yezdi Adventure is a lot more affordable, while also being reasonably decent in its feature-list and rough-road capabilities, whereas the recently-launched TVS Apache RTX300 is a much more feature-packed, road-biased ADV that offers incredible value for money. That said, here are all the other top two-wheelers launched in India in October 2025.
