Metallic Black & Dark Bluish Gray (Standard Variant)

The entry point into the R2 family is the Standard variant, priced at Rs 2,30,500 (ex-showroom), and it comes in two distinct, mature shades. The first is Metallic Black.With a fully blacked-out treatment and minimal graphics, it gives the R2 an understated, yet aggressive street presence. It's a practical choice, too, as darker colours are often more forgiving with minor dust and scratches. It’s for the purist who values the machine beneath the paint. This one’s also popular among fans for its simple yet sporty look.

The second option on the Standard variant is Dark Bluish Gray. This gunmetal-like shade offers a more technical and sophisticated look. It’s complemented by striking red accents on the wheel rims, adding a touch of sportiness. This colourway is perfect for the buyer who finds the Racing Blue a bit too loud but still wants a motorcycle that looks sharp and modern. 

Racing Blue & Matte White Pearl (Quickshifter Variant)

For an additional Rs 9,000, the Yamaha offers Quickshifter variant, which unlocks not only a key performance feature but also two of the most expressive colours in the lineup. The star of the show is Racing Blue, Yamaha’s trademark shade. The deep blue bodywork, black belly pan, matching blue wheels, and sharp cyan graphics make it look the part of a sporty Yamaha bike. Alongside the iconic blue is the stunning Matte White Pearl. This colour gives the R2 a completely different character. The clean white body is contrasted with bold red and dark graphics, and the red highlights on the rims tie the whole look together. It’s a sharper, arguably more modern aesthetic that stands out brilliantly from the sea of blue Yamahas. 

Metallic Gray (YZF-R2M Exclusive)

At the absolute top of the range sits the YZF-R2M, priced at Rs 2,53,000 (ex-showroom). This flagship model is available in one exclusive colour: Metallic Gray. It combines a silver/grey fuel tank and tail section with a black lower fairing. The signature blue wheels remain the same.

This colour is exclusively for the buyer who wants the best of everything the R2 platform has to offer. That said, the colour layout is very similar to that of the Metallic Grey in the Yamaha R15 M variant. We’d have liked to see a bit more visual difference to highlight the R2M that’s not only more powerful and feature-packed, but also costlier than the R15M.
