Yamaha Goes Old-School Cool; Aerox 155 70th Anniversary Colour Scheme Launched
Apart from the Aerox, Yamaha Indonesia has also launched the anniversary colour scheme for the MX King 150
Yamaha’s 70th Anniversary celebrations continue to make waves, and two models that wear the heritage badge particularly well are the Aerox Alpha Turbo and the MX King 150. The new liveries have been introduced in Indonesia.
Aerox Alpha Turbo: Racing Soul, Scooter Form
The Aerox Alpha Turbo stands out as a performance-oriented scooter that already looks the part. The 70th Anniversary colour scheme takes things a step further. Dressed in a classic red-and-white combination, the scooter channels Yamaha’s iconic race bikes from decades past, topped off with retro-inspired graphics and gold tuning fork logos.
In the Indian context, this becomes even more relevant. We already get the standard Yamaha Aerox 155 here, and it has carved out a niche among riders who want something fun and unconventional. We really wish Yamaha brings the Turbo variant here.
MX King 150: Heritage Meets Street Cred
The MX King 150, meanwhile, represents Yamaha’s sporty underbone philosophy. In its 70th Anniversary guise, the motorcycle adopts the same heritage colour palette, instantly elevating its visual presence. The slim profile, flat seat and exposed design elements, like the shock absorber, are very attention-grabbing, and the retro racing colours add a layer of classic charm.
Sadly, despite its appeal, the MX King 150 is unlikely to make its way to India, as this segment isn’t popular here. Folks equate scooters with practicality, hence a traditional scooter works best, as long as there’s decent underseat storage.
Apart from these two scooters, Yamaha also introduced the 70th Anniversary livery on the XSR155 and on the sporty Yamaha R15 V4 in Indonesia. As for the anniversary celebrations in India, Yamaha slashed the prices of the Yamaha R15.

Because of its performance. It looks good. It has a good pickup and the balance is also very good. The agility is also decent. And the engine is super refined. And it stands out in its competition easily. I have a mixed experience with this bike. The battery got dead in just 6000 km. I had to replace the battery. The issue with the rear rim was the worst. The socket in which the rim fits it got loose and when i went to the service centre, they didn't come up with the solution. The front suspension is so hard that you can't even take small pots on the road. And the fit and finish can be much better. The rear break is week. If the road condition is very good and millage is not an issue and someone who wants a scooter which can deliver power and has a good road presence can consider it. I choose this because of the muscular looks and the bulkiness. I love the muscular looks specially this Yamaha Aerox. And the feel when you ride this giant scooter on road everyone see this like how a scooter looks like this muscular. Ride is comfortable and smooth braking system. And specially the disc is so much good that you just put your fingers on the brake and it stop immediately. And the comfortness of the back rider is also good. Yes who need a muscular body type scooty obviously go for it blind foldy. You get a smooth experience when your ride it on road. i choose this bike because it looked good , i specifically liked the red and black combo , the red wheels looks amazing and i liked the styling of the scooter, mileage was also amazing like other scooters. The ride is amazing i have went many places in this scooter with my friend and we have yet not faced any major issue during the ride we took it off road to jungle road also but everything was fine specifically the suspensions better as compared to other scooters in market . i think students should buy this its a little rough and tough it looks good has a good pickup has a decent storage space and finally gives a good milage and it does not make any loud sounds during the start so you can easily take it out for night outs.Read More
