Honda Dio 125 H-Smart Variant: All You Need To Know

Honda offers smart keyless features on this variant, but is it actually worth the extra money over the base model?

The Honda Dio 125 is sold in two variants, STD and H-Smart, with the latter being the costlier one. Honda doesn't just add paint here; it enhances the whole ownership experience with a keyless setup and a few more features.

Design And Styling

Visually, there's very little separating the H-Smart from the Standard Dio 125. Both share the same sharp LED headlamp, sporty styling, and six colour options. Honda has kept the design unchanged, so the differences between the two are found in the features rather than the way they look.

Features

This is where Honda really sets the H-Smart apart. It swaps the STD's standard physical key for a Remote Smart Key, so you can unlock, find, and start the scooter without ever pulling a key out of your pocket. Also, with Honda's app, you get Bluetooth connectivity and navigation on the console too. And yes, this is a TFT unit compared to the LCD in the standard variant. The only tradeoff when compared to the base variant is that the H-Smart drops the kick starter and relies on self-start only.

Safety And Braking

Honda equips the H-Smart with a 190mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum, and it rides on 90/90-12 front and 90/100-10 rear tubeless tyres. That braking setup carries over from the STD, so you're not giving up any stopping power by skipping the base trim.

Engine And Performance

Power comes from the same 123.92cc, air-cooled engine. It makes 8.31PS at 6,500rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at 5,000rpm, paired with an automatic transmission. It's smooth and refined for everyday city commuting, with just about enough grunt to do occasional highway runs. The 5.3-litre fuel tank stays the same as the STD, so you're not giving up any range for the extra tech.

Ride And Handling

Underneath, the H-Smart uses Honda's underbone frame, with a telescopic fork up front and a rear shock that offers 3-step preload adjustment. So if you've got a pillion on board or you're carrying extra luggage, you can stiffen the rear end up rather than leaving it soft and unsettled. At 104kg, it's light enough to be easy to manage at low speeds, and the 708mm seat length is roomy enough for the two of you to ride around town on.

BikeDekho Says

Honda prices the H-Smart at Rs 93,459, a Rs 4,950 jump over the STD's Rs 88,509. Paying that extra money gets you a proper keyless experience along with Bluetooth and navigation. We feel the premium is not that high considering the amount of extra goodies you get. So if you’re looking to choose, we’d recommend this variant over the base.

Best stylish aur powerful 125cc scooter

Mujhe apne daily college jaane aur city ke kaam ke liye ek stylish aur powerful scooter chahiye tha. Market me bahut saare options the par unka look simple tha. Mujhe ek aisa scooter chahiye tha jiska design sporty ho. Honda Dio 125 ka look mujhe pahli nazar me pasand aa gaya. Iska look aur Honda ka bharosa, dono mil raha tha isiliye maine isko chuna. Is scooter ko chalane ka mera experience bahut badhiya raha hai. Iska 125cc ka engine bahut smooth hai aur traffic me pickup bhi zabardast milta hai. Long ride par seat bahut comfortable hai aur mujhe patna ke local traffic me isse lagbhag forty five se forty eight ka mileage aaram se mil jata hai. Main is scooter ko sabhi young logon aur college students ko lene ki salah dunga. Agar aapka budget ek premium scooter ka hai aur aap stylish look ke sath achha mileage aur majboot engine chahte hain to aapko bina soche is gadi ko kharidna chahiye, ye sach me ek paisa vasool scooter hai.Read More

Genuine review of honda dio 125

Choosing a scooter is a matter of trust, and for me, that trust lies with the Honda brand. I ultimately choose the Dio 125 specifically because it had a good engine comparing to other rivals and the maintenance is also cheap . Because it's japanese company it is pretty reliable and can consider for long rides . I am owner of a all generation of the honda dio series this is my 4th honda dio .. so far this is the best dio so far because they have given the honda grazia engine to it by doing some calibrations . I had two choices which was this and tvs ntorq the ntorq Laks in refinement , reliability and good service that' the reason I have moved to a japanese brand and iam very much satisfied comfort is excellent. The seat is wide and supportive, making daily commutes very easy on the back. Both the rider and the pillion get wide, well-padded seats, contributing to excellent overall comfort on longer commutes.i even travel kerala to Chennai on a single day with this with multiple stops ... It's still holds no problem If you are a daily commuter but you want to have a sporty plus reliable scooter go for this and cheap in maintenance too , you don't have to think about the the engine because it's honda and you can trust this scooter. It even has all the features like tft display disk brakes at the front and a good cvt gearbox. The only cons would be the headlights it's completely useless on places other than city.Read More
