Honda Dio 125: Explained In Images

Suzuki’s popular family scooter gets a subtle tech upgrade, sitting right between the basic model and the top-end connected versions

The Honda Dio 125 is currently Honda’s sportiest scooter in India, at least until the launch of the Honda ADV160. The brand prices the Dio 125 between Rs 88,509 for the Standard model and Rs 93,459 for the H-Smart variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). Honda also offers an X-Edition with fresh graphics. Here is a closer look at what the scooter brings to the table:

Styling

The Dio 125 carries the same sporty design as the Dio 110, just with slightly more muscular body panels.

Details:

  • Up front, there is a sharp LED headlamp, alloy wheels, and a split grab rail that add to its sportier stance

  • It also gets a dual-tip exhaust, and the new X-Edition adds fresh graphics and logos to give the design an even bolder look.

  • We particularly like the handlebar-cowl-mounted DRLs as it looks sharp and sleek

Colours

The Dio 125 comes in eight colour options spread across its variants, mixing both bold and understated shades.

Details:

  • Sports Red, Pearl Nightstar Black, and Pearl Siren Blue are the brighter, more eye-catching options.

  • Pearl Deep Ground Gray comes in two forms: with or without graphics, giving buyers a subtler choice.

  • The matte range includes Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, Mat Sangria Red Metallic, and Mat Axis Gray Metallic – for anyone who wants to skip the gloss finish altogether.

Engine And Performance

Power comes from the same 123.97cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine used in the Activa 125, making 8.25PS at 6,250rpm and 10.4Nm at 5,000rpm.

Details:

  • There is enough power and torque here for city commuting, and the scooter glides through traffic without feeling strained.

  • Expect around 40-45kmpl in terms of mileage.

  • An Advanced Idling Stop System switches the engine off automatically at stops to save fuel, and the Dio 125 can also handle the occasional highway run without much fuss, provided you keep your expectations in check.

Features

The Dio 125's feature list changes quite a bit depending on which variant you pick, with the H-Smart bringing in the bulk of the tech.

Details:

  • Every Dio 125 variant gets a 4.2-inch TFT console with all the essential ride information, while Bluetooth connectivity and Honda RoadSync are reserved for the H-Smart variant.

  • The Standard variant uses a regular key, while the H-Smart gets a fob key for finding the scooter in a parking lot, remote lock, and keyless start.

  • Everyday convenience is covered too, with an external fuel filler, a front storage pocket, an optional USB Type-C port (near the left cubbyhole), and a retractable pillion footstep.

Underpinnings And Specifications

The Dio 125  uses a telescopic front fork and a 3-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The larger 12-inch front wheel also adds to its stable and confidence-inspiring ride.

Details:

  • Braking comes with a Combi-Braking System (CBS), featuring drum brakes as standard, while higher trims get a front disc brake.

  • It also gets a side-stand engine cut-off.

  • The seat is well-padded and spacious, which combines with easy-to-reach handlebars for a comfortable riding posture.

  • Seat height is 708mm to suit most riders, though taller riders might find the floorboard space a bit tight.

BikeDekho Says

The Honda Dio 125 is a great pick if you want reliable Honda engineering in a sharp, sporty package. It brings eye-catching colours, a smooth engine, and convenient keyless tech on the top H-Smart version.

That said, it costs a bit more than key rivals, isn't the fastest in its class, and has limited underseat storage. However, if bold styling and dependability matter more to you than sheer practicality, the Dio 125 is definitely worth checking out, particularly the H-Smart variant.

Best stylish aur powerful 125cc scooter

Mujhe apne daily college jaane aur city ke kaam ke liye ek stylish aur powerful scooter chahiye tha. Market me bahut saare options the par unka look simple tha. Mujhe ek aisa scooter chahiye tha jiska design sporty ho. Honda Dio 125 ka look mujhe pahli nazar me pasand aa gaya. Iska look aur Honda ka bharosa, dono mil raha tha isiliye maine isko chuna. Is scooter ko chalane ka mera experience bahut badhiya raha hai. Iska 125cc ka engine bahut smooth hai aur traffic me pickup bhi zabardast milta hai. Long ride par seat bahut comfortable hai aur mujhe patna ke local traffic me isse lagbhag forty five se forty eight ka mileage aaram se mil jata hai. Main is scooter ko sabhi young logon aur college students ko lene ki salah dunga. Agar aapka budget ek premium scooter ka hai aur aap stylish look ke sath achha mileage aur majboot engine chahte hain to aapko bina soche is gadi ko kharidna chahiye, ye sach me ek paisa vasool scooter hai.Read More

Genuine review of honda dio 125

Choosing a scooter is a matter of trust, and for me, that trust lies with the Honda brand. I ultimately choose the Dio 125 specifically because it had a good engine comparing to other rivals and the maintenance is also cheap . Because it's japanese company it is pretty reliable and can consider for long rides . I am owner of a all generation of the honda dio series this is my 4th honda dio .. so far this is the best dio so far because they have given the honda grazia engine to it by doing some calibrations . I had two choices which was this and tvs ntorq the ntorq Laks in refinement , reliability and good service that' the reason I have moved to a japanese brand and iam very much satisfied comfort is excellent. The seat is wide and supportive, making daily commutes very easy on the back. Both the rider and the pillion get wide, well-padded seats, contributing to excellent overall comfort on longer commutes.i even travel kerala to Chennai on a single day with this with multiple stops ... It's still holds no problem If you are a daily commuter but you want to have a sporty plus reliable scooter go for this and cheap in maintenance too , you don't have to think about the the engine because it's honda and you can trust this scooter. It even has all the features like tft display disk brakes at the front and a good cvt gearbox. The only cons would be the headlights it's completely useless on places other than city.Read More
