We've already spotted them testing abroad as well as in India, and dealers across the nation have been unofficially accepting bookings for some time now. And finally, BMW Motorrad has begun accepting bookings for the updated BS6-compliant G 310 R and G 310 GS models. It hasn't disclosed the booking amount yet, but this move by BMW indicates to us that a launch is just around the corner. This is just as well, since similarly priced rivals like the KTM 390 Duke and Royal Enfield 650 twins have already received their updates a while ago.
But will it be a case of too little too late for the 310 twins? Well, the good news for prospective buyers is that the BS6 Beemers are likely to be accompanied by a pretty significant price hike, to the tune of Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000. This will make them far more attractive options, especially considering the fact that the updated bikes will be equipped with more features like LED lighting and ride-by-wire technology.
Unfortunately, one thing that the spy shots don't tell us is whether any improvements have been made to the 313cc engine's long-time Achilles heel: refinement. Gurugram: BMW Motorrad India will open pre-launch bookings for the new BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS – the two largest selling premium motorcycles from the BMW Motorrad stable in India. Customers are getting a special opportunity to book the bikes from 1 September 2020 onwards, ahead of the official launch.
To book the bikes pre-launch, customers can visit any BMW Motorrad dealership or fill up an enquiry form online at www.bmw-motorrad.in. Deliveries will be done on a first come first serve basis.

The BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS motorcycles have been driving the momentum for BMW Motorrad India with a share of over 85% in yearly sales.
